Dr. Clyde O. Craft (1959 and 1961, BS and MA Industrial Arts Education; EdD Industrial Education, Texas A&M University), Department of Technology

Professor Emeritus Craft served for 27 years as Professor and Chair of EKU’s Department of Technology.  During his tenure, the Department made a significant transition from a general industrial technology bachelor of science degree program to distinct accredited programs in manufacturing and construction.

The Master’s degree in manufacturing was developed and selected by major Kentucky industries for in-plant offerings.  Major advances were also achieved by incorporating computer applications in nearly every subject.

Dr. Craft also served an eight-year term as Membership Chair of the distinguished Mississippi Valley Industrial Teacher Education Conference.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2004-05 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
