Student Spotlight: Abigail Cvelbar
Abbey is a 21-year-old senior from Cleveland, Ohio. Abbey’s parents Amy and Ed Cvelbar lovingly support her. Abbey is a member of the EKU Volleyball team and has received awards for her talents and skills. She is an Applied Engineering Management student.
Abbey heard about this program her freshman year when she took her first class in metallic processes. She has stuck with it because she loves how it gives students the opportunity to learn the information through hands on material and real life experiences. She goes on to say that the professors are amazing and are always there to help and push her. The courses are a perfect balance between challenging and stimulating.
Abbey says that, “Others should pursue this degree because it prepares you for real life. It is completely hands on and you will learn how exactly things are done without always reading a book. Opportunities are always given within this major and the professors are great teachers.”
Abbey hopes to eventually work in the manufacturing setting as a quality engineer.
