Faculty-Student Collaboration Published in Visual Communications Journal
Dr. David Dailey, professor of Applied Engineering and Technology, recently collaborated with a CBT graduate student, Lora Hopper, and was hugely successful.
Dr. Dailey had the idea for the study that he and Lora conducted for several years. When Lora became a graduate student, Dr. Dailey asked her to conduct the study using Qualtrics, a high-end research survey database. Lora was able to create a survey that was sent out to the members of the International Graphic Arts Education Association, Inc. (IGAEA). From there, Dr. Dailey and Lora were able to conduct their original research that led to the formation of an article titled “Where Will They Come From?” Their collaboration was published as a refereed article in the Fall 2014 edition of the Visual Communications Journal. See the article here: http://gceaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/VCJ_Fall_2014.pdf.
Lora received a Bachelor’s of Science in Graphic Communications Management, and a Masters in Career and Technical Education, both at EKU. Lora has taught at KCTCS in the past, and is currently teaching at the Harrodsburg Area Technology Center. She is also a FBLA advisor, and her students were very successful in the Regional Competition.
